Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 6, 2026

Welcome to MyEventPrep. These terms explain how our service works and what we both agree to when you use it.

We've written these terms in plain language because we believe agreements should be clear, not confusing.

The short version

  • MyEventPrep is a monthly subscription with one free event to start
  • You can cancel anytime (and we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee)
  • You own your event data, and we'll keep it safe
  • Be respectful and use the service as intended
  • We'll do our best to keep things running smoothly

1. About these terms

By creating an account and using MyEventPrep, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the service.

MyEventPrep is operated by Jeff Wickens, a sole proprietor based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

If you have questions about these terms, contact us at support@myeventprep.com.

2. Who can use MyEventPrep

To use MyEventPrep, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Keep your account secure (don't share your password)
  • Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws

You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3. How MyEventPrep works

Your free event

When you sign up, you can create and manage one event completely free. This lets you try MyEventPrep and see if it works for you before paying anything.

Upgrading to unlimited events

To create more than one event, you'll need to upgrade to a paid subscription. This gives you unlimited events with no restrictions.

Monthly subscription

Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel. You'll be charged on the same day each month.

Payment

We use Stripe to process payments securely. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month.

If a payment fails:

  • You won't be able to create new events
  • Your existing events and data remain accessible
  • We'll let you know and give you a chance to update your payment method
  • If payment isn't resolved within 7 days, your account may be downgraded to the free plan (one event only)

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime

There are no long-term contracts or commitments. Cancel your subscription whenever you want from your account settings.

When you cancel:

  • You keep full access to all features until the end of your current billing period
  • You won't be charged again
  • Your account automatically switches to the free plan (one event) when the billing period ends

30-day money-back guarantee

If you're not happy with MyEventPrep within the first 30 days of your first paid subscription, contact us at support@myeventprep.com and we'll refund your payment, no questions asked.

After the first 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to avoid future charges.

5. Your data and content

You own your data

All the event details, inventory information, pricing, and other content you create in MyEventPrep belongs to you.

License to us

By using MyEventPrep, you give us permission to store, process, and display your data so we can provide the service. This license ends when you delete your data or close your account.

We'll never use your data for anything other than providing and improving MyEventPrep. We'll never sell your data.

Data after cancellation

Data retention and deletion are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. If you cancel your subscription or close your account, your data will be retained temporarily to allow for account recovery, and then permanently deleted in accordance with that policy.

Backups

We maintain regular backups of all data to prevent loss. These backups are kept secure and eventually deleted in accordance with our backup retention policies.

  • Remain unpaid beyond our grace period

If we terminate your account, we’ll handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In most cases, we’ll provide notice before termination unless immediate action is required for security or legal reasons.
